Where love remains

Silent clouds caress the sky
Gazing down with a watchful eye
A bird sings a tuneful song
Ants scurry as we walk along
The grass flattens beneath our feet
Why did we choose here to meet?

Only we can answer this
It’s here this place our first kiss
Time moves on against our will
In this moment love stands still
We remember as if it was yesterday
Our love we hope will remain this way
Forget tomorrow absorb the past
We have time to make this last
Our bodies held so very tight
Remaining here throughout the night
Upon the ground we choose to lie
Go away world pass us by.
