By Charles Robert Lindholm

there’s something about you
that even a blind man can see
there’s a joy in your soul
that even the deaf can hear

there’s a light in your eyes
that warms us like the sun
there’s a love in your heart,
enough for everyone

there’s something about you
that touches my heart
the sight of your face
and your smile
delights my soul

there’s something about you

  1. How beautiful.

  2. You’ve inspired me to attempt a poem today.
I’ve never been much good at poetry, but hey, writing is never perfect.
    Love and light to you!

    • Dakota – You are sending my heart soaring – that is one of the highest honors a poet can get is to inspire another to write as a result of a joy or inspiration from one of their works! Please don’t judge or prejudge yourself and Your talents! My love of poetry started with a Senior English assignment in high school. I am not schooled in poetry either – form and all that. I write from my heart and put the words together so that they sound right when spoken aloud. That is the best way to check Your works is to recite them to Yourself outloud.

If You are really interested in writing poetry and getting better and happier with what You write then I would highly recommend that You invest in the following book on Amazon – “Poemcrazy” please read the reviews. It has helped me so much. Start Keeping a Word Bank of words or phrases that really hit You as cool, funny, wise, whatever and then they will start to age like wine and bingo You will come up with a poem related to it. I have another little secret if You would like to know it –

Love and Hugs and Blessings to You,

  3. Reblogged this on The Militant Negro™.

    • You Sir, are a Prince! Thank You yet again for Your wonderful support of my work and Your trusting my words with Your family of followers with this rebog! You are such a great support to all the writers here i.e. Your reblog of Angela’s work! You make us all Proud and better off for having You in our lives! Please stop by the Go Dog Go Cafe and have some Joe on me!!
