In Pursuit of Love

In Pursuit of Love
-Linda Lee Lyberg
 I feel your presence
from across the room
And sense impending danger.
Have we met,
Too late, too soon
Are you my Intimate stranger?

Have my dreams made you
Real flesh and white bone
Or am I now dreaming?
Your tender kiss could warm
My heart made of stone
But feeling is believing.

As my eyes pursue
A glimpse of you
I see you watching me
Are you hoping and
waiting for my cue
To set my soul free?

Intimate Stranger leave me alone
For you are not really there.
Because if you were
You are the one
To leave my soul
Stripped bare.
