It still feels like yesterday!

by Tanya

It still feels like yesterday
The same rush in the air,
Jostling with the ever rising sun-
Heading for another moment and fun..

With ruffled up hair,
I Tick-tocked far and away,
Feeling every sparkle on my face,
I settled that sling bag which swayed..

That twinkle in my eye,
Those tomatoed cheeks all the way,
I was flying past those white birds,
With not much to say..

Till I see you across a jingled space
Just to realize that even the sun has aged..
Those rolling lights finally fall on mine,
Beaming more light, making us shine..

Like those swiftly moving clouds on a windy noon,
We move to hug each other..
Looks like, though aged, the sun hasn’t changed,
It still feels like yesterday!
