Change

by Angela Umphers Rueger

The ocean’s waves come quietly ashore,
Then disappear as quickly as they came.
No matter what the sand was like before,
When water leaves, it’s never quite the same.

  1. Very nice sound. I loved the rhyme and meter and meaning in your poem.

  2. Angela a very good poem,
short & sweet but said a lot.

  3. How is it that I missed this? You have such stunning insights and then tie them so eloquently to something as simple as a wave upon the shore. I too, love the way our lives can be changed and enriched by those we meet along life’s journey and we are so blessed if we can have them with us for as long as they can stay. This poem and Your thoughts have touched my heart! Thank You for bringing a lovely moment of joy to me!! Lovely, Angela
