Allotment II

by Jem Croucher

The allotment’s looking lovely
if I do say so myself
We’ve been doing lots of digging
‘Cos it’s quite good for our health
We’ve got some fruit trees growing
and have planted lots of seeds
And in between the watering
have been pulling up the weeds
It’s really therapeutic
and cathartic doing this
So already our allotment
has become a place of bliss

  2. Yes, growing veg is therapeutic until the bugs arrive. Love this. Nice one Jem

  3. Hi Jem,
Some people, like me we try to create poetry to impress, and for some people it just flows naturally. To be able to feel the poem in everything around you is a enviable talent. And you seem to have mastered it. Lovely poem Jem.

  4. This is lovely. And rather inspiring to get back into our neglected garden 🙂

If you enjoyed the poem. please leave a comment.
