Promise in store

by Jem Croucher

The daffodils are past their prime
but here at Horsted Keynes
The sunset comes at eight o’clock
and we all know what that means

It heralds Springtime’s fading
Summer’s waiting at the door
And warmer days are in the wings
with promise there in store

  1. I really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing. After a very warm and sunny Spring in Switzerland we had torrential rain yesterday evening followed by snow this morning! 🙂

  2. Very poetic there, spring has sprung

  3. Really liked the feel of this and the cadence too.
