Alpaca

by Jem Croucher

This week you’ll find me writing
about an animal each day
And though the choice is massive
Alpacas do deserve a say
And there are three here in particular
that I wanted to include
For as they made a special effort
not to do so would be rude

With early Beatles haircuts
these three called by to say hello
So we had a conversation
about this and that, you know
They stayed a while and ate some grass
whilst we had cups of tea
Just us and three alpacas
as one does nonchalantly

  1. Love it 🙂

  2. I’ve heard of these animals, but I didn’t know they looked like that.

  3. All wearing their little wigs 🙂

  4. Jem….Re: Alpacas

Alpacas are native to the Andes Mountains
And perform duties similar to mules
Miners loaded them up with their precious ores
    They became workings tools

    Alpacas can be affectionate
    Not like their cousin
    The llama
Who has a tendancy to spit

    So…if you find yourself
    In the Andes
    Hiring alpacas for your trip
Be wary of alpacas who would like to spit

  5. *sighs* I always confuse them with llamas.
