Russia-gate Limerick #2

On February 15, I wrote a post called “A First Of What I Expect To Be Many ‘Russia-gate’ Limericks.”

I was right. It was the first of many. And the plot has thickened considerably since February 15th. Flynn resigned, Sessions recused himself from any investigation due to his lying during his confirmation hearings. Sessions said he “forgot” and “misspoke.” Investigations are going forward and that means that Trump is breaking out the Roy Cohn/Steve Bannon playbook (which is eerily similar to the Hitler/Goebbels playbook.)

Now Russia-gate is a big mess
And who Trump’s blaming isn’t too tough to guess.
Trump calls it “fake news,”
Expressing authoritarian views…
That the enemy here’s the Free Press!
