In the Wings

by scatterednotebooks

William Shakespeare wrote,
“We strut and fret our hour upon the
stage…,”
but I’ve spent my hour just watching from the
wings,
afraid to enter the play.

I sit in the livingroom shadows,
and watch life unfold in a box.
