Cord of Three (Valentine Challenge)

by 50djohnson

Ruth 1:16  “And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest I will go: and where thou lodgest I will lodge; thy people shall be my people , and thy God my God.”

(Happy Valentine’s Day, my love!)

A Cord of Three

Looking back through the years

Through the laughter and the tears,

Standing forever by my side

Standing together, husband and bride.

Husband and wife and Jehovah God

The three of us through life have trod.

When our hearts were broken in two

We learned to put our trust in You.

When our lives were overwhelmed with fear

Going before us ,You made our paths clear.

When we loved each other, our souls were one.

Oh, how our lives are filled with fun.

When your cheek’s next to mine, and I feel your face

In my heart , I want to be no other place.

Than wrapped in your love in this time and place.

Knowing you’re mine because of God’s grace.

Looking back we both would agree

Our love is strong because it’s a Cord of Three.

The kids , and Valentine's Day 011

I Corinthians 12 :4-7 “Love is patient and kind;love does not envy or boast,it is not arrogant or rude, it does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
