Company Xmas Party

by Rhyme In Time

Poetry challenge: Christmas poem.

Santa and his elven helper worked the office party.
While she was handing out the gifts he Ho’d and Merry’d hearty.

His elven helper was an admin to execs by day;
Tonight he hoped she’d want a special ride on Santa’s lay.

The stiff execs, for laughs, had each expressed a Christmas wish.
Santa barely heard them as he wished for elven knish.

His eyes were lit with twinkles as he stroked his beard of white;
He thought of where he’d lay his sack this cold December night.

When it was time to leave the stage, he could not venture forth.
All these thoughts of admin elf had set his pole straight north.
