Where Have You Gone?

by William

Breathing slowly, waiting for the bells to chime

Deeply hidden in the tick-tock of time

I still wait for my Angel to appear

Gently holding her clock of despair

A little bird has landed upon my head

The bird is singing soft words of dread

The clouds have broken, the bird turns blue

The heavens have opened and the bird falls through

Please let me find you, my Angel so quiet

A rumble of thunder and lightning so bright

Let me cast my eyes upon your light

Where have you gone, my sweet Angel of the night?
