Mea Culpa

If only I had words

I’d arrange the letters

and write promises across the sky

If only I had the brush of an artist

I’d stroke vibrant colors

and paint your picture by the sea

If only I had the eyes of a prophet

I’d find the answers to every question

and see the shelter in the storm

If only I had been strong, if only

I would have been prepared

to show you the world that is you

    This seems to be an introspection on a borderline where you “know” the truth but fail to “realize” or live it at the needed moments. It is strongly evident in “see the shelter in storm” It was not “find” the shelter – meaning shelter encompasses storm. It is a matter of observing in the right perspective. I like this. Good one!!
