Old Faithful

by Miriam Hurdle

geyser1

Underground water

Heated and rises.

Steam forms,

Bubbling upward.

Steam expands,

Water column soars.

Bubbles continue,

Lifting the water above.

Splashes, overflows.

The Geyser.

  1. I know. At least she is the predictable one so far, of water eruption… yet. 🙂

  2. I had not heard of it before. Now I read about it in Internet and saw a video as well. Thanks!! Good capture in poem.

  3. This geyser has the shortest predictable eruption time, so the tourists mostly watch this one. Another geyser has 7 to 9 hours of predictable eruption time, that wouldn’t be favorable for tour feature.
