Autumm’s Restful Wold

by Colly

You swept away all my fears.

You offered hope, renewed –

glistening, as dampened leaves

in eve, clad-en in autumn’s wold.

The showers to clear the mire,

to extend a white glove …

only to shew peace and love.

…a restful hope up above.

A-gain Lord, cleanse this soul

of any wickedness, by thy

power and blood.

As a child, I stand here asking

for healing…

from all that would separate

You from Me.

Restore this divine union, Amen.

  1. Your poem in some unknown way “tranferred” moments of peace into me. It is a powerful prayer yet gentle and sweet.

“restful hope” is a beautiful combination.
