Southbank sunset

by Jem Croucher

Sitting on embankment
the Thames flows slowly by
underneath the setting sun
a rainbow-coloured sky
Myriad colours present here
the canvas is complete
changing by the moment
for a really special treat
Christopher Wren’s cathedral
outlined across the way
as London sees the closing
of another summer’s day

  1. Somehow reminded of A kinks song.
Apologies, if necessary, but there is always something wistful about the writings of Ray Davies.
