Somebody’s Praying

Deuteronomy 4:29  “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Heaven came down through the heart and voice of my Mother as she lifted serious situations  to the throne of God. Painting a word picture in prayer, mother was known as a  prayer warrior.  I remember others calling my mother when grave problems arose in their lives. When we were sick , she would place us at the end of her bed and lay her hands on the part of our body that was in pain. She prayed straight from the heart and talked to God, tears flowing down , a smile on her face,   knowing he was right there and hearing every word petitioned. To my young heart she was not telling me to pray ‘about ‘something, she was showing me how to walk with Him, and talk with Him, and tell Him I was His own.  She was teaching me how to commune with God, how to talk to God, how to sing God’s praises, and how to sit at His feet and listen. After she prayed she always sang a song to God of praise. Many times when we were very sick, I have precious memories of her beautiful alto voice singing,”There is Power, power, wonder, working, power. In the Blood, of the Lamb.  There is power, power, wonder working power in the precious blood of the Lamb.”Several times I remember just wanting whatever that sweet fellowship was and telling Mother<I don’t feel good… I’ll go get on the bed…” wanting ever so much to approach God’s throne in the arms of my Mom. I,too. want to be a prayer warrior!   So many people are scared to pray… They don’t know what to say. Well, If you talk to Him all the time he’s your best friend and you don’t have to start out with chit -chat!!! Such as,”Uh… Hi! it’s me … Remember me , I talked to you once when I was ten…” NO!  You can go straight to the heart of the problem and straight to the throne because you know His heart, you know He loves you,  and you know He’s listening. If you don’t know how and want to pray,  no one has to teach you. Just go to him, confess your sins and he will listen to your heart! Just ask Him, “Teach me to Pray!”, then, for others you can honestly say, “I’ll Pray for You!”

Somebody’s Praying

A Mother’s voice is raised in prayer as her hands so gently rest,

The broken bones, deep gashes…  Dr’s called, only the best.

But as a child what calmed my heart was to hear my Mom pray

Praying special words for me and I heard every word she’d say.

Dear Precious Father, touch my little one, she’s in so very much pain.

I trust you, Jesus, to touch her now, Your healing power to gain.

If it’s your will tonight, Dear Lord,  I lay her at your throne

For here I am before you now, knowing we’re never alone.

Giving you my most precious gift, and asking for your precious power

Touch her, and hold her,  give her relief, let her feel your love in this hour.

Singing Your praises and thankfulness taught my young heart how to come draw

From the riches in glory that belong to me and to receive them in sacred awe.

THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER!!!! If you need Him tonight all you have to do is ask. Deuteronomy 4:29  “But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

“I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE,no one comes to the Father , but by me.”John 14:6

When the Storms of Life overwhelm you…

God is faithful to give you what you need before you even know you need it. He promises to make your crooked paths straight. Think of it in terms of how much you love your children. Don’t you hurt when they hurt, and laugh when they laugh? Wouldn’t you give them the moon if they asked?  Just think how much more  our Heavenly Father would do for us, of only we’d  ask. He draws from His immeasurable storehouse of blessings!!! God Bless you and I hope in some way you have been blessed by the fact, that when hard times come, His strength is available, When the sad times come, His comfort is perfect. When physical pain comes, He sings over us. When joy comes, he rejoices with us. When tears comes, He weeps. When fear comes, trust His courage,  when sin happens, His grace is sufficient and His forgiveness is complete. When death comes, His promises are true, he’ll come for you. Heaven is our hope, if He lives in our hearts. Thank ,Christ Jesus for being the Great I am.. for He is  ALL I need!  If you don’t know Him. You just have to ask a simple prayer of forgiveness of your sin, Turn from that sin and walk in His light. The Bible is not a rulebook but a happiness manual. If you read it and believe it, your joy will be abundantly more than you can ask or think. But he is not RUDE. He will not come without being invited…

If all you want to do is cry, watch the sunset and for 1 minute think on the beauty in creation and something good in your past and future. The next day for 2 minutes. The next day for 3 minutes, etc. Before you know it, you will have gone an hour without thinking about whatever is hurting your heart. Now, sunsets are an inspiration.  They are God’s art speaking to my heart!* My cure for depression: ” Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.” Philippians 4:8 Health is mental and physical.  This verse saved my life!
