Sunset Seduction

Sunset at Narrabeen Lake - image by Seafarrwide

The steady steps of faithful hounds

The bush silvery green and lush

The leaves are crackling so loud

Lizards scuttling in a rush

A ghostly mist envelopes me

Each footprint lifts some mud

The lake is seeping through the trees

Birds fluttering high above

Golden sun streaks the sky

Autumns flaming lights transfix

Purple, Orange delights my eyes

Fiery shades make sunset bliss

The sky turns a cobalt blue

Its time to wander home for tea

Nature’s palette so rich in hue

Warms my mind releasing me

Sunset’s seduction is complete
