Other Self

Other Self

How is it that I Feel You
When You are so far?

How is it possible that I Know who You are?
So much better than I can ever Imagine I do,
When we have not met.
How Shall I Explain to my own Heart
The Yearning that Abides there,
Day and Night,
Night and Day,
Only for You?
OH such Love!
Such Longing!
Such Repetition of Painful Waiting!
Over and Over
Over and over
Over and over
Until my Heart Weeps in her sweet torment,
Waiting for Your Return
Oh my Most Precious Love!
Man of my Heart Before All Others,
Love of my Spirit Before Time Began,
Other Self,
Separated from me yet Ever With Me,
Enchanter and Enchanted Be,
Beguiled by Our Unity.

  1. Soulfully beautiful . . . Reminding me of St Augustine’s “Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.”

    • That is Beautiful 🙂 Thank you for Sharing it with me! Yes this could be taken romantically OR spiritually…I hadn’t thought of it along those lines, but you are certainly right. 🙂
