What I call poetry

by Poetry and Literature by Sofia Kioroglou

I know I am not much of a poet myself
I just love to describe what I see
what touches my heart, what leaps to mind.

When the words do not come out quite right
and the rhythm is a bit off-key
I don’ t get my knickers in the twixt

Poetry is not about the best masterpiece
but about letting my words flow like a river
allowing the pen to scribble all over a blank page

  1. You are very much a poet. Peace.

  2. You are a poet, and surely writing poetry is all about being ourselves.

  3. Sofia. First off you are as good as any poet so you should not doubt yourself and secondly (and most important) Poetry will not make anyone rich so when you write do it for yourself not for others. Just my two cents worth to a fellow poet and friend.

    • You are definitely right. We write because we cannot do otherwise. It is an irrepressible urge to share our words with world. Thank you for always being there for me on this platform. Your comments are always appreciated. Love your work, Dave. Be blessed!
