With The Winds

by Venkat

image

Winds, howled
Winds, whisted
Winds, rustled
Winds, hummed

Winds, silenced

Trees, thuded
Sparks, armed
Leaves, spoke up
Birds, felt wings
Sands, looked on

This heart, I held
In thick, strong trunks, fell
As diamonds of light, burned
In tender, thin moments, expressed
As a feathered horse, flew
In wet home of crabs, found calm

Thoughts, felt raw
Undressed, as winds
Locked in this sky, of life

The heart, shed its skin
Bound no more

To be one
With the winds
