Dancing

I’m delving deep today
and dancing in my mind
On my way to London
as my senses are aligned
Listening to my music
hearing rhythm and a beat
Dancing as I travel
in my precious window seat

Around me lots of people
prodding phones and doing stuff
Averting gaze when captured
and mostly looking gruff
But the tune that I am hearing
only serves to bring a smile
which I share with those around me
and find is catching in a while

Soon those close where I’m sitting
have a grin upon their face
which is of course much better
than the frowns which they replace
My work done but still I’m dancing
and some have joined me now it seems
With glum and soured expressions
replaced with happy beams

  1. Ah and that’s a fine way to travel through life … there nothing more contagious I think than a song inside one’s soul. Do keep on dancing Jem!
