A to Z Poetry Challenge (A and B) – April 2, 2016

by Georgia

A is for Awaken

Awaken august aerial Augier
Announce April’s auspicious actions
Avoiding anguished answers
Angle after affirmations
(Aural
auguries)
Avoiding anxious abandoning
Announcements.
Angelophany allowed,
Auspicious ascertainment,
Awakening astonishment,
And Affectionate alleviation.

B is for Blessings

Blessings boisterous boy,
Beaming broadly, blessings!
Bound brave bold boyo,
Bound bravely battle-wards;
Bold, brazen and buoyant
Bewondered by blarney
(Betrayed by balderdash)
Bravely bound battle-wards …
Babbling bold benighted blandishments,
Before being butchered
By bedevilled bombs.

  1. I’d forgotten about A-Z April. Participated last year and it really was a great challenge. So thanks for the reminder; have signed up again but will need to play catch-up big time come Monday! Won’t be as ambitious and beautiful as your opening contribution though! Something basic about ABC I suspect…
