That buzzing sound that is oh so deprived,
that joyful text message that has just arrived,
the smile I pull from cheek to cheek to
see your anecdotes fill my screen,
as though a breaking news bulletin just leaked,
I carelessly type and tatter away the words of
my mind that I’m so eager to say,
to you a person that shows so much care and my
heart drops every time my eyes meet your glare.
The time has passed and my phone has been deprived
of those once little anecdotes that now never come by.
