Here Today; Gone Tomorrow

by William

A laser is skirting over my head

Slowly chasing bits and pieces

Of my skull to make dead

There is a black toothed monster

Who is brave and shows no fear

As he wriggles through my hair

There is some pain

Right in my brain

But no one’s to blame

The laser is slowing

It may soon stop

My head is throbbing

Almost ready to pop

I am a male

I will not fail

But that’s another tale

My head reflects

In the mirror on the wall

Hair now cut shorter

I feel almost ten foot tall
