A Sologamy Valentine’s

by Colly

Poetry Challenge: Valentine Poem

a cat valentine

This Valentine’s I’m going to treat myself sweet.

Sologamy, a proverb, oath, written on my heart.

——

I’ve vowed to be faithful, self-reliable n genuine.

And this romantic holiday to celebrate is again?

——

Uh, oh, right Valentine’s is for us romantic ones.

It’s not just about the roses, chocolates, and me.

——

I’ll mark this “date” on the calendar to remind.

As this time of year I always count myself twice.
