“Lost Within the Deep Dark Blue”

by Rellick

ocean

I enter beyond the water’s edge

Straining to hear her voice once more

Between the ripples I see her face

Only to watch it shimmer away, away

I call out her name in desperation only to be

Drowned out by the relentless smashing waves

Moonbeams dance creating reflections obscure

But the deep dark surge will not give in

I shall follow my love into this roaring swell

With broken heart I make the plunge

Crying out one last time as darkness consumes

Give back my love, my life I beseech you

  1. Ocean waves or swells scare the s**t out of me. I’d never even consider surfing no no no…

  2. Whereas for me the sea is something I could never, ever leave. In me and part of me, friend and foe. Respected and adored. Nature’s soul mate. Wonderful words – thanks for sharing.

  3. We’ve been to Hawaii three times. The aloha of the islands and ocean started calling me back before we ever left.Oh , how I love the ocean. These are beautiful words.

  4. I’ve been to every state except Hawaii. Thanks for sharing.

  5. So nice the scene painted.
