Cocktail

Come, a cocktail for you
For your mixed feelings
In this hurricane of words

When the skies were wide
And you longed for a game
You loved to stir thoughts
And floated on cubes of wonder

When the bats were close
And you threw the owls into fire
You loved to pour feelings
And crept into arms, of the moon

When the night broke, its cover
And you held your smile
Upon rays of clear thought
I found the cocktail, I longed

  1. I like this one. The speaker sounds like a wonderful conversationalist with “stirred thoughts” and a mind that asked why. The whole poem is special.

  2. You have a true talent,my dear.
