Foot Wedge

Sculpture by Richard Rensberry

This game is a ball
we accuse, chase
and infuse
as if its will
could be bent
to ours,

as if it were capable
and consenting enough
to obey
what we think,

yet deceive
should we chance believe
our visions
hold glory
instead of demon
tom foolery.

This game men deem
has eyes
and a soul,
this game we curse,
praise and cajole.

  1. Thanks, Harry. Sorry the pic is so large, I guess it was caused by the proportions being so different.

  2. The picture itself is smaller than what I usually post, it was 6.5 X 3 versus 5 X 7. I know nothing of editing in the HTML part of the dashboard. I’m lucky to get the post up at all. The logics and workings of the computer world were brought to be by people that live in a world far removed from the universe of where I reside. If you can explain it in English I am sure I could work the math.

If you enjoyed the poem. please leave a comment.
