Fair Trial

by Venkat

Us, sane of the mind
Found reasons balanced, for law
To make trials fair and kind
To warm hearts, on sentences raw

Us, sane of the mind
Have now, a new book of rules
To write meanings, before we find
To forget lessons, planted in schools

Us, sane of the mind
Love to love, hate to hate
See no visions, from the blind
In words oversized, love the great

Us, who know of trials, sound and fair
Crush our flowers, before they are born
For the slimy soil below, in despair
Irrationality, has no trial, to lean on
