We dream of yellow

by Jem Croucher

In the gun-metal grey of midwinter
When cold grips vice-like
and, huddled in blankets
we stay cocooned in the warmth
of a fruitcake and hot tea afternoon
and dream of yellow

  1. Funny how in the Spring I wait breathlessly for the first signs of colour and in December I wait with equal anticipation for the first signs of NO colour = snow 🙂

  2. Sweet image. Nice and yellow and warm here in NZ
