The Journey

by Tiffany Layne

I’m running on empty,
rolling on four bald tires
Trying to fan the flames
Of one too many fires

Don’t know how to go on
Don’t know how to stop
I fall down to the bottom
And climb back to the top
But I can’t stay there long
Luck’s just not on my side
I seem to live a life
That’s is a roller coaster ride
The journey’s ever changing
The destinations are unknown
Sometimes I feel so broken
I just want to go back home
Wherever the roads take me
Purpose must be my guide
Only God can pass judgment
I’ve got faith on my side
So I will just keep going
Even when I’m run down
Every end is a beginning
You must get lost to be found!
