Morning Haiku and Waka – Tanka

by Georgia

persimmons at dawn

persimmons at dawn
under the dripping fog
a single leaf falls
resonating in my soul
[the echos of autumn]

a whining lament
runs through my mind at dawn
an ancient sound
like the echoing wind
across a high plateau
