The Cyclamen Choir

by Jem Croucher

In many shades of mauve and pink
poised ready there to sing
A field of cyclamen grew wild
reminding us of Spring

Dappled sunlight filtered through
the leafy boughs above
as the gathered crowd stood ready
for a song of life and love

And party to this wondrous sight
we were encouraged to add voice
for the pleasures that this life gives us
and in that fact, rejoice
