Always there

by Jem Croucher

I’m pleased the sea is always there
because whenever I’m in need
I can take a wander by its shore
and feel instantly relieved
For no matter what life throws at me
as it does from time to tine
The sea acts as a comforter
and makes me feel just fine

I’ll walk a bit along the shore
shingle crunching ‘neath my feet
breathing in its fragrant air
and feel again complete
So I’m pleased the sea is always there
as its endless breadth and length
renews me and invigorates
and brings me hope and strength

  1. I share the same feelings as you do about the ocean and I miss it really badly here and the deathly dry city is Las Vegas Nevada. And if it so much I’ll probably be returning back to my home which is Southern California.

    I love your poem.
