A Poet’s Heart – haiku

And when I find the fortitude

to blend…

I grace the poet’s pen alas. 

My heart to touch your

heart…

my tears to cleanse thine own.

A lovers heart

hath the poet.

  1. Sometime Old English comes into its own – here’s an excellent example; contemporary language just wouldn’t cut it!
