The thing about the sun

 

The wonderful things about the sun is that
it makes you forgive and forget
Just one day is enough even though all last week
it was cold, overcast and just wet

So I’ll sit down and write with my dog at my side
and enjoy the warmth whilst it’s here
For it’s days are numbered now September has come
and the cool days of Autumn are near
