Delicate

by Jem Croucher

Spied a flower at the wayside
It wasn’t very big
Hidden there in old dry leaves
and a broken twig
Delicate and fragile it
exuded colour still

A tiny bit of nature there
making known its will
Though small of stature, still it said
a thousand words to me
As beauty says so beauty does
unequivocally
