Life

You are an ocean
Wide, yet deep
Soft, yet wild

Your waters
Of sweet dolphins
Of menacing sharks

Your sounds,
Of whispers, quiet
Of breath, mild
Of silence, numbing
Of silence, overwhelming
Of roars, stormy

Your breadth, I cannot measure
Your depth, I cannot hold
Your truths, I cannot count

All we could
but float on your wisdom

All we could
but dive in search
To unknown depths
Hoping to touch, your pearls

All we could
but wait in patience
For the wonders you reveal
on your shore

  1. Not many dolphins or sharks in my sea – but the spirit of these wonderful words remains just as true. Good stuff!
