The New Ice Age

As Earth spins into seasons
We spun snow upon our feet
Immobile, white with frozen eyes
We breathe through cones
A smile, melting into our teeth

Giving giggles, to our unborn truths
That play as innocent children, with us

Swathed in layers, of this eternal ice
Layers of fears, layers of neglect
Layers of tears, layers of spite
Layers, too hard to wash
We now undress feelings
To keep warm
