Let’s be happy today

Because today is a moment

We shall carve into history’s skin

So hold it within your palms

A drop of liquid gold sunshine

Trickling away to infinity

Now take my hand

And drive away with me

Into the blazoning sunset

Let’s pour stars in our pockets

Etch memories into the cold earth

And twine our hair with the strands

We caught from the tails of comets

And let the gates of heaven and hell

Swing wide open, for all we care

Sing, like giddy drunkards

Until there are no words left to say

And as we paint colours in history

Let’s be happy today
