Dawn awakes

by Harry

Submitted by Glenis Rix

Dawn awakes to clamorous sweet chorus
Fades sky to washed-out watercolour blue
Softly sweeps heaven-high white gauze brush strokes

Salutes sun slowly rising in the east,
Warming soil, gifting gardening weather.
Planet earth revolves around my axis

Note – written in unrhymed iambic pentameter i.e. blank verse – a poetic form favoured by Shakespeare
