Dedicated to all who have suffered the cruelty of “the bullies”

 

I watched

Recalled

Painfully remembered –

Tossing rocks

In the form of wounding words

The shy little girl sat crying

Questioning her worth

Her very existence…

Across the playground

Laughing baboons, idiots

Bold bullies babbling

Back and fourth

Back and fourth

Thoughtless, careless,

Sadistic smiles in eyes

That should of held innocence,

But no, they became what they saw

Said what they heard

And a wounded little girl

Grew into a wounded woman

Determined to make a difference

Scars and all
