My Friday Fiction, Mersey River Horror

by Rellick

Image: Wikipedia

Somewhere in the deep

In its darkness cold

Boundary River will keep

A dark secret so bold

Who was that man so pale?

Now alone without

A shadow slipping over the rail

His loving wife no doubt

Swallowed by the Mersey

Thanks to hubbies shove

A man without mercy

Ended his once true love

What makes a man decay?

His mind now at war

To take a life this way

His thoughts now impure

Absent of heart, this I am sure

Conscience renounced

God’s revenge I implore

Swift justice announced
