Cancelled

And yet again another train
gets cancelled as I leave
It’s becoming quite a habit
And I’m feeling a bit peeved

Eleven plus hour days are tough
So I’m looking forward to get home
But cancelled trains add one hour hour
Which irks me to the bone

Still, never mind, put on brave face
It’s what it is I guess
I’ll just have to sit and write some more
To alleviate the stress

    Oh, by the way, I LOVE the image you used for this poem. I had a collection of old locomotives and lost it along the way moving from place to place, state to state. Thanks
