Five bridges

by Jem Croucher

Gleams the sun
on slow Tyne
Five bridges reflected
the moment, mine

Silence reigns
Newcastle stirs
Five bridges reflected
vision blurs

Brief a shiver
morning chill
Five bridges reflected
spurs my will

Captured a view
and looking good
Five bridges reflected
where I stood

I’D SAY “TYNE-LESS,” BUT THAT ISN’T TRUE, IS IT? LOVE THE LOCAL CHARACTER AND POETIC OBSERVATIONS!

  2. Love the crisp wording and local flavor.

  3. super image – and words to match!
