~ Inducements

by A. L. O'Prunty

~  Inducements

My love buds are about to bloom
With nectar honey-bee sweet
And soft the blades of grass;
A velvet green beneath our feet

A symphony proudly performs
Of bird song, breeze and reeds;
Soft, selective, seductive notes
Inducing rebirth, and innate needs
Come, we’ll gather the crocus
Scatter petals of various hues
Upon this blanket of purest white
Our hearts and souls to infuse:
It’s the dawning of Springs reign
Breezes through branches mysteriously sing
And busy within their arms
The chitter-chatter, of, satisfactions ring…
Love, let us gather these days of sunshine
Hold them deep within our heart
To warm us through winter months
When life light concedes unto the dark.
