~ Mourning

by A. L. O'Prunty

~ Mourning

Heavy are hearts
Laden with loss;
When Death walks in
Loved ones pay the cost

Extinguishing life-light
From youthful eyes
There are no answers
Only woeful cries –
And a Mothers memories…
Of love laced lullabies.
