This Mother’s Love

by Tiffany Layne

Just remember as you grow
I’m the only one who knows
Just how small you used to be,
Baby, you came from inside of me!

I knew the sound of your heartbeat
Before you took your first breath,
And I knew everything you could be
Before you realized it yourself.

So when you get caught up believing
You’re swimming against the tide,
Baby, you can just look and see,
I’m still right here on your side.

If you’re down, I will lift you.
You were my gift from up above!
So if you’re lost, I will find you,
You’ll always have this mother’s love.
